Dear Zachary, You Break My Heart
I watched the documentary Dear Zachary over lunch this afternoon. I’d intended to only watch a little bit of it, but ended up having to sit through the entire thing because it was so gripping. This blog post more or less amounts to me say: you should definitely watch it.
One of the more interesting things about it is that I had limited information going into it – and I’d like you to as well, if you’re going to see it. Anyway, all I knew was that it was a documentary made for a kid to tell him about his father who, obviously, wasn’t going to be around. Which naturally has a bit of an air of tragedy and some melancholy charm.
Then it all blew up in my face. But you’d need to watch it to experience that, and it is well worth experiencing.
