Bangladesh: Lost Photo Opportunities
This is basically the only photo I have remaining to me from our trip to Bangladesh, tragically, thanks to a combination of lack of internet access (for synching photos) and the untimely loss of my iPhone. It’s from the Mehedi night that took place the night we arrived (after not sleeping for 30 or so hours). You can see Rilla to the right there, and the bride’s mother (Happy Chachi, to me) is the one looking expectantly into the crowd. The then bride-to-be, Tanima, is two to the right of her mother. And then the rest are a fraction of the multitude of cousins and aunties. They’re terrific people, so I’m glad I at least have this one photo of the event.
