Some Possible Relationships To Time In a Game

Since I have been making games of different “lengths” I have been trying to think about different ways you could end up relating to time. I’ve made ten games about time so far, but I probably haven’t managed to capture ten really distinct relationships. C’est la vie. Here is what I have been thinking about:

 

Unfair time.

Fast time.

Will I be able to finish on time?

Can I keep this up for the whole time?

Punctuated time.

Time > space.

A finite amount of time.

Is this really going to take that much time?

Serving time.

A very long time.

 

Those are some relationships to time. That is ten, but like I said, I imagine they’re not necessarily strictly distinct from one another.
