This started off as a comic about a criminal who literally did what the arresting officer said: “Drop the gun! Slowly!”, but then it turned into something about a snowman dropping a banana. Slowly.
This one came out of looking at some warnings on the packaging for a microphone headset. The image of a baby with a plastic bag over its head was too extreme not to follow up on, I feel.
I’ve been thinking about the issues surrounding lobster hugs for a long time now, and I’m glad I finally achieved some degree of closure with this comic.

Chad told me this brilliant story about father-child relationships and the status of interlopers. I drew it with coffee cups for the main characters because I can’t draw anything very well.
This strip just came to me somehow, unconnected with the fact that the climate summit was on in Copenhagen at the time. I like the idea that we might badly misinterpret what other species (or people) think about things.
Gulag is a running character in my and Rilla’s stories. He’s a book with a difficult personality who just wants to be read/loved. He’s based on my experience with actively not reading the book “Gulag”.
