This comic is only partly true. It’s true up to the first panel, and then I extrapolated from there because it seems like something that’s bound to happen eventually, and this way I have the power.
Some nights you just gotta puke something onto the screen because you told yourself you would. I came up with this idea in Bangladesh, but I think I’m forgetting why I thought it was interesting.
Another poem-comic rears its head. My main concern was to capture the exuberance of the original poem, which I did by being very naive in style. Fortunately, I’m awesome at that because I am very naive in style.
This is based on a little poem I wrote during my “evening poem time” recently. Think it came out alright. I’d wanted to have it hand drawn, but couldn’t be bothered scanning the original art, so it’s Manga Studio-ed.
This one seemed pretty hilarious at the time I thought of it, but I’m perhaps slightly underwhelmed now just because the “Vince” aspect doesn’t carry through in any sensible way. Should have used Vince Martin from the Beaurepaires ads in New Zealand.
Inspired by a combination of “Citizen Kane” and “The Wrath of Khan” (Kirk’s famous shouting of “Khaaaan!”). I’m not sure I communicated the latter part as well as I could have, but believe me I spent ages trying to draw an okay furnace.
True story, but it falls flat in this comic. Plan on writing a post about said flatness on inininoutoutout later this evening. This was my first play-around in Manga Studio for the line-art, which may have something to do with it.
Going with some awkward honesty for today’s comic. Let’s face it, meditation is hard and we think of stupid things while we do it. I hold up my hands, open, facing toward you.
This one came to me as if in a dream while I was doing something else, so I carefully wrote the word down in my notebook and then later made up an image. Maybe a little hurried, but I like the idea.
Was forced to scrape desperately at the barrel for this evening’s post. A fairly literally representation of tiny little poem I wrote last night. And here it is!
