ALL-CAPS COMICS #6

Another of these things. I really like the way Tom Gauld does his little textured worlds, so wanted to use a little of that. The guy’s wearing a Dallas Cowboys hat because they’re the best team.

ALL-CAPS COMICS #5

Another from this series, drawn a bit roughly as an experiment of some kind. I don’t know what to tell you except that these things are what they are.

Peas in a Pod

One from the doodling notebook about peas in a pod and the unknown fact about the simile that peas are initially highly claustrophobic before becoming comfortable.

One of those comics from the notebook where I start drawing a little dude, then he says something, and it kind of goes from there. And where it goes I have no particular control over.

ALL-CAPS COMICS #4

Artificial Intelligence

Went to a keynote at an AI-oriented conference yesterday and the guy gave this definition of artificial intelligence which allowed me to smirkingly slip in this comic on the subject. Ha!

ALL-CAPS COMICS #3

Continuing on with the all-caps theme, here’s one about an unreasonable dislike of a stove clock. Poor old stove clock, nobody understands you.

Mother Was Right #3

The continuing anguish of people for whom it is too late to change. Why do I do this to them? I do not know, my friend, I do not know. This one flirts with the edge of my meanness though.

ALL-CAPS COMICS #2

I may have been channeling aspects of the style of a highly-admired friend, John Martz – though rest assured he draws much better than this. I’m still in love with the tone of these texts, but still seeking a good drawing approach.

ALL-CAPS COMICS #1

The start of what I’m seeing as a series. I’ve been writing lots of ALL-CAPS poem conversations lately and they all share a particular tone. And they feel like comics. So.
