The Artist Is Present

Finished another new game today. This one is a more or less literal rendition of Marina Abramovic’s famous performance piece “The Artist Is Present”. It’s called “The Artist Is Present”. It’s a genuine art game.

It’s here.

( Once again I find that I've managed to produce a new game. This one's a little unusual and probably not at all fun. But I maintain that it's interesting. And that's what counts? )

I have been in the line to see Marina about 3 hours and still can’t get to see Marina. I’ve tried everything, is there an actual way to get to Marina? How?

Hi Eduardo – there’s no real secret, it just takes time. Just as in the real exhibition, some people sit with Abramovic for a *really* long time (hours) – so you may not see the queue move on some days. All part of the authentic experience! The best way to get to the front is to arrive a little before 10:30AM EST and go straight in – that will give you the best chance.

This game is well made! I was able to get in on a Tuesday afternoon to see her by changing my computer time. However, I got kicked out of museum because I press right arrow key too much. Love the detail!

Where do I begin… OK. Last summer I impulsively went up to New York with my friend, and we walked around town on one of the rainiest days of the year. Needless to say, I was soaked. Still, I wanted to see the sights, so my friend and I ducked into the MoMA 10 minutes before closing (we got in for free). This was during the time of the Tim Burton exhibit… of which I was unaware, so my friend and I spent 8 minutes on some useless floor looking at some unmemorable things… then we spotted it. A table with a lady and a man. They were just sitting there. So we navigated our way down to the exhibit, and about the same time we got there, the museum guards started forcing everyone to leave. So I got a glimpse of this exhibition while being ushered out by guards. Thank you for this game.
