Thank goodness for the notebook that I occasionally go through phases of obsessively drawing cryptic messages to myself in. Here’s a cryptic message, almost koan-like.

A random poem-like thing written one morning now illustrated. I found drawing “fusion” to be hard enough that I said, “let me do a terrible job and just go to bed”, and then did that.

Went to a keynote at an AI-oriented conference yesterday and the guy gave this definition of artificial intelligence which allowed me to smirkingly slip in this comic on the subject. Ha!

The continuing anguish of people for whom it is too late to change. Why do I do this to them? I do not know, my friend, I do not know. This one flirts with the edge of my meanness though.

I’ve had it in my mind for a while now to draw a faux map for an adventure game, since I like looking at the mad scrawlings in my notebooks from playing games like Monkey Island. So here’s one!

It’s been a long time coming but je vous presente another episode of Mother Was Right. I’m still kind of in love with the concept, so please send me any further fitting motherly criticisms.

Hot and fresh out of today’s notebook drawings. Note how I’m writing this as if I draw in my notebook consistently. I think this is a subconscious ode to Magritte, whose “Les Amants I” might be my favourite painting (though this corresponds to “L’invention de la vie” more closely).

I wanted to do something easy for tonight and it doesn’t get more easy than jumping on the Admiral Akbar bandwagon years too late and making a dumb joke. Yes!

Bit of a one liner about the drama and romance of opera singers and just how much passion bursts forth in a high C, and how hard it might then to be impress an opera singin’ lady.

Staving off the desolation of being composed of particles that repel creativity, I went with this idea from the notebook. I’ve a mind to do a series of these ominous proclamations by household items. We shall see.
