Bit of a love poem told in signage. Probably just invented a new genre that deserves a name like “sonnet” or “villanelle”. But neither of those, because they’re already taken. Suggestions?
What’s the word for onomatopoeia when it’s visual instead of with words? Dunno. Mostly I wanted to see whether I could spell onomatopoeia on my own, and I could. So that’s good.
I was pretty proud of myself on this one. It seems like it’d be one of those “writing exercises” or “comics exercises” where the guru tells you to depict “the moment before” some important other image or piece of writing.
The world’s smallest attempt to get back toward comics that have more of a story than just picture and a punch-line. I often think back to the comic I did years ago called KIM and wish I’d do more. Do more, me!
Continuing to play around with the lasso as drawing tool – continues to be pretty gratifying, though I might be kidding myself about it as an aesthetic. Somehow helps me draw more “freely” or whatever.

This is pretty much me at the top of my game, I think we can all agree. I’m playing around with drawing with the lasso tool in my drawing application and this is what is happening.
This one’s from some time during our trip to Venice, though I forget when. The drawings have benefited from my massive data loss because they used to look awful and now they look pretty good.
