Another quick draw from the ol’ notebook. This one has the ring of truth to me, frankly. I think I nailed this one.
This comic is derived from an actual observed situation in the park outside the Victoria University Design and Architecture School in Wellington. Rilla and I added a little internal monologue for the seagull begging for a chip.
Drew this one while doodling in the library in Wellington trying to come up with something lightly amusing. I think I accomplished that goal.
I became enraged briefly with David Shrigley because he appears to have stolen all of the territory for doing quirky little throw-away jokes as ‘art’. Curse him!
I wrote a text to go along with the images of machines in “Machinery Seller: Ex Demo, Used Machinery and Equpiment. December 2006, volume 4, number: 11″ and then made that a comic.
